[RP] Wedding Reception of Lynna and Arthur

[Lynna]

It was a beautiful sunny day out! The weather this morning was a bit chilly, but it had warmed up. Coventry Castle was ready for the wedding reception of Arthur and Lynna. The servants were awaiting for guests to arrive for the party to begin.

Oswald finished preparations and was giving out orders to the servants to make sure everything was in control. He had been told by Arthur that things had to be perfect. Arthur had made sure that there were plenty of drinks, and food.

This was going to be a small reception for his and Lynna's guests. A formal sit-down dinner. There were tables in the grand hall set up for all the guests. Tables were restricted to eight at a table. The very prominent blue and purple flowers that had been at the church were in the grand hall as well.

There was a long table ready for the wedding party and Deacon as well. There was bread baskets and beverages already set on the tables for the guests. Arthur would definitely be hungry when he came, and he thought the guests would be as well!

Kenrich made his way to the party from the church finding his way inside he appeared to be the first one here looking around, did i rush here he thought to himself with a laugh, he moved on in and found a spot as to wait for the everyone else

Arriving at the reception she clutched the box looking around the room to see if Arthur and Lynaa had arrived already.. Clutching on to her husbands hand she gave him a smile and felt a bit nervous for some reason..

Gawain arrived back at the castle from the church.

He walked upstairs to his guest room and changed from his cassock into formal evening attire, and picked up the gift he had for them.

He then made his way back downstairs to the reception, he saw Kenrich and nods to him, bowed to Princess Brianna, then waited for everyone else to arrive.

[Lynna]

Having rode a leisurely ride from the church to the inn in Coventry, for indeed the day was glorious with sunshine, even if a bit chill. It was one of those days that still though the sun felt warm upon your skin and one could almost even smell the sunshine in the brisk air.
Leith and Delia awaited in the rooms they had gotten, ready to help their lord and lady change for the formal dinner reception. Leith casually mentioned what Gabby already knew would have done, the wedding gift had been delivered to the castle. Gabby smiled as Delia helped her pin and hook needle her into the new gown that Gabby recently had ordered.

As the finishing touchs were down to the accoutrements of their station and offices, Leith announced the carriage was ready.
Arriving at the castle Gabby remembered her days before being wed, when she lived in Coventry. Taking Pieter's arm, she smiled at him and fussed over his shirt collar. They entered the castle and were shown to where the dinner was to be served.
Gabby nodded to Deacon Gawain and Captain Kenrich, giving the Princess Brianna a small curtsy. Quietly they found where they were to be seated and Gabby being inquisitive leaned over to see if she could read whom the hosts had sat them with. Arthur was known by her to have an odd sense of humour at times.

He was leaning heavily on her shoulder, sleeping through most of the trip. She didn't mind much, other than the fleeting hope that he hadn't drooled on her shoulder. She didn't need to start out the evening with a ruined dress.

As the carriage slowed, he began to stir. His comment to the driver had her rolling her eyes. No needs to be killin' folks who dun deserve it love...save it fer the ones who gots it comin', there's plenty o' 'em. Giggling at the mischief on his face, she tenderly took his hand as the carriage stopped.

He'd released her hand and stepped out as soon as they stopped, the look on his face not boding well for anyone. Hurrying to alight from the carriage, she sighed as his fist connected with the driver's face, then the stable boy. Now what'd ya gotta do that fer? Shaking her head, she mumbled; Yah...they's sleepin'...lets go in 'for they wakes.

Before taking his arm, she leaned up on tiptoes and pulled him down, brushing her lips against his softly. I'm hopin' by the end of the evenin' yer not thinkin' of hurtin' nobody. Linking her arm through his, her eyes twinkling merrily, she winked and inclined her head. Here I was worried 'bout trouble findin' me...an' I'm bringin' it wit'. Lead on Sir Bratley.

Moose and Lizzy arrived at the reception after deciding to walk from the church to the castle as it was such a lovely day out.

Arriving he looked around the grand hall Wow this place looks amazing. Shall we find a seat? He said to Lizzy.

Finding a seat at one of the tables they sat down That was a wonderful ceremony, don't you think Lizzy. Arthur and Lynna looked so happy, I can't wait to congratulate them He then gave Lizzy a quick kiss on the cheek and blushed slightly

I wonder were we can find somthing to drink? he said quickly

OCC:Lizzy has permission to god mod me as may not have much access time for a day or so.

[Lynna]

"yeah, lovely ceremony" said Lizzy slightly distractedly, thinking how amazing it was that people would actually stand there, in front of a roomfull of other folks and bare their hearts like that! The two of them had glowed, it was awe inspiring, and frankly, a bit scary...
Lizzy had not been the sort of person to let anyone close to her, until she'd met her half sister, Rosa, who must have had some sort of influence over her, otherwise why was she here.. celebrating a wedding, and on an actual date!
She grinned when Moose blushed, he was really quite shy, she liked that, made a change from the usual guys she met, and was one of the reasons she'd accepted his invitation to be his date.
hmm, "There seems to be a table of drinks over there" she said pointing to where a group of people were beginning to gather. "shall we?"
As the two of them made their way to the drinks table, she slipped her hand into his, smiling to herself..

Moose watched Lizzy, she seemed to be thinking and not quiet her usual self. He knew she was out of her comfort zone at a wedding, she was used to the raucous of a tavern, as was he, but he didn't want to let it show. He had never imagined himself being with anyone before but he had really come to like her and was happy she had agreed to come with him to the wedding.

As they walked towards the table with the drinks he flet Lizzy slip her hand into his, a sudden warmth like had never felt before filled his body. He gave her hand a slight squeze then turned and smiled at her. He gave her another quick kiss on the cheek then said softly You know I'm glad you agreed to come with me

He then lead the way still holding her hand in his to the table where the drinks were. Pouring two beers he handed one to Lizzy and kept the other for himself. Taking a sip he looked around, a few people had arrived but he was sure there were more to come still, including the happy new husband and wife I wonder where everyone else has gotten to? he said to Lizzy Oh well if they don't show up, more beer and food for us he said with a grin on his face

Climbing out of the carriage after the short trip between the church and the castle Lerendus turned and helped the two ladies out of the carriage. He looked up toward the highest battlement of the castle and had to shield his eyes against the sun. Indeed, a bright day. He smiled at his sister, Eary, and his fiancé, Smom, and offered his arm to both. He squinted up at the castle tower again. A slight unease. He was looking forward to meeting the family and introducing his fiancé, but formal events, he was never comfortable with them. He took a deep breath and forced a smile on his face, “Shall we?”

Evan helped Brianna down from the coach.
He looked back instinctively for 6 others to come hustling out…it was becoming second nature when we realized, embarrassingly, that the wee ones were at home.
He thought the ride was a unusually quiet.
Looking back into his wife’s eyes, he sheepishly grins and blushes at his mistake.
Draws her close, kisses his wife upon her soft lips when he notices. Over her shoulder….
what in Jah’s name….. giving Brianna’s hand a squeeze

Evan sees a stable boy, laying on the ground ahead of the carriage, his hands upon his face, in evident discomfort.

Evan, lifts the boy under his shoulders helping him up
My good man, what has happened?!
Shaking his head, rubbing his nose, the stable boy spoke
I am uncertain sir. One moment a large gentleman was standing next to me…and the next….I swear….I felt a tree branch or something hit me in the face….
A panicked look crossed his face as his hands darted towards his pockets…..
oh NO!...I needed that money for my fathers…….oh no……
Evan looked at the boy, reached into his pocket, took out all his pence, gave it to the boy.
Here….this should compensate and help…..now…..lets get you inside and cleaned up
The stable boy just gave Evan an embarrassed smile, followed him.
Thank you sir!

Joining his wife, grasps her hand, kissing her cheek
Love…we have an unexpected guest joining us for a few moments…
Son, this is my lovely wife Brianna Tudor, My name is Evan…….Brianna this is…ummm….
It was then Evan realized he never got the boys name; he looked at the boy briefly, questioningly, his eyes asking the boy for help…
Henry….ma’am…..pleased to meet you…. he bowed deeply
It was then, realization crossed his face, and he turned several shades of red
oh my……ummmmm…….not THE princess Tudor….oh my….
He bowed again, blushing
Evan ruffled his hair, smiling, brushing off his coat
come on…..let’s get you inside and cleaned up……

Evan smiled towards his love, kissed her on the cheek, and whispered into her ear
what is it with you and stable boys…..

Stepping out from the carriage the glare of the bright sun making her squint a bit. In doing so she could have sworn she saw Evan and Brianna enter the castle with a young male, searching her memory she could have sworn their oldest was a female and not quite so old. Maybe it wasn't them she shrugs. Once inside she would know for sure.

“Shall we?”

Taking her fiance's arm "We shall. What a lovely castle." pausing for a moment "Does make me miss home and the children a bit. But enough of that lets go celebrate your cousin's happiness this day." tiptoeing slightly she whispers into Ler's ear "Ich liebe dich."

Kenrich moved from where he was to locate his seat, as he noticed more and more people ariving now. He saw a few faces he knew but others he didnt

Myxti and her escort (her cousin, Ferdinand de Navarra) enter the reception area. She smiles as she sees some familiar faces. With her gifts by her side, she searches for the proper place to put them.

Evan placed his arm about Henry’s shoulder guiding the reluctant stable boy over to one of the maids in the corner.
Sir….I REALLY should get back to the carriages……you see….
Evan just smiled, reassured the lad
Nonsense….besides I know the couple…..
Henry glanced up at Evan, unconvinced

This earned Evan a double take from Henry sir…ummmmm
Evan approached the maid
My dear, would you please see to this young mans needs….
The maids eyes opened wide at Evan’s request, her mouth opened a bit
Evan placed a hand upon his face, looked sideways at a smiling hopeful Henry
ummmm…..that is…allow me to rephrase…
The maid instantly shot back, hands defiantly upon her hips
YES!...I would strongly suggest that
Henry looked disappointingly crushed
The young gentleman apparently had a run in with a brigand outside……would you please see that he is taken care of….thank you miss….
THAT SIR!...I can see to she took Henry’s hand and lead him off Come along Henry

As Evan made his way back to Brianna he saw
MYXTI how are you?

[Lynna]

It was all about mischief and how he loved to cause it. His hands went to her sides as she pulled him down, he kissed her gently. ”At least he isn’t dead…and I make no promises, it all depends on how the night goes.” He would try and behave, at least behave enough to not cause to much trouble. ”Technically Aasha, trouble found you at the last wedding reception we attended…You just can not get rid of me.” Grinning, he begins to lead her through the doors of the castle.

Turning back once to see if there was any movement from the stable boy or the driver he saw someone helping the stable boy to his feet. ”Bah, look at the goodie two shoes. I do suppose this one is luckier than the last stable boy I bumped into.” He smiled once more and turned his attention back in front of him as they went in. His eyes scanned the room as he searched for a seat, preferably one close to where the alcohol would be. Spotting what looked like a bar to him, he escorted Aasha over and pulled her seat out enabling her to sit before seating himself. ”He was curious if he would be the only trouble maker there for the event.”

Seeing the seating for the new bride and groom, a brilliant idea popped into his head. Pulling the ink and quill from his pocket, he grabbed a napkin and began writing something furiously. It was what he though was a wonderful toast in his mind, special for his brother and his new wife. With a grin he folded the napkin and placed it into his pocket.

She didn't expect him to agree, and truth be told, was glad he didn't. It was one of the many things she admired about him. He had a knack for being himself, despite what anyone said or expected. She'd tried changing and had gone back to not caring what folks thought because of him, and was much happier being herself. Her eyes sparkled as she whispered; Wouldna dream of it.

Allowing him to lead her in, she glanced down at her skirt, giggling softly as her boots peeked out from the bottom. Wearing a dress was her only concession in going to the wedding, she wasn't going to wear shoes she couldn't walk in. She glanced back at his comment and grinned. He's jus' a boy...theres bigger ones to be messin' wit'. Now if'n ya was gonna run over a noble or three, I wouldna mind so much. Ya knows...it coulda been me ya ranned over at the Regent rec'pti'n...I tole Harlan I was better'n the stables than as his bestest man.

The room was already getting crowded, doing nothing to put her at ease. She looked up as he pulled her seat out, bowed slightly and winked, then sat down. He was practically humming with excitement as he began to scribble, even looking she could make neither head nor tail of his chicken scratch. It was the perfect distraction, she pulled his flask out of her pocket and took a deep drink, then replaced it quickly. She had barely gotten it rehidden when he finished and tucked the napkin into his pocket. Leaning towards him, she nudged as she asked; What was ya writin' Donnor?

[Lynna]

Pieter pulls the chair out and Gabby sets down, her lips forming a thank you to him. As he takes his seat Gabby takes his hand in hers and surveys the newly arrived guests. She thinks to herself quite the electic mix.
"I think this shall be an interesting dinner, dear Nutkin." she whispered to her husband. He nodded an assent.

Myxti smiles when she sees Evan

"Cousin, how are you? I hardly recognized you without the brood! Evan, this is my cousin visiting from Spain, Don de Navarra. He's my mother's nephew."

Ferdinand: "Just Ferdinand" He corrects her "Nice to meet you, Evan."

She giggles as she finally finds the gift table and places her gifts on it.

”Oh fine, I will leave the stable boy alone for the rest of the day, just find me a few nobles to run down and everything will be good.” He grinned as he thought about the last reception he attended, no one had even bothered to check on the guy he ran down. Now that he was thinking about it, he could still remember seeing the body as he and Aasha rode away.

He just finished writing when out of the corner of his eye he caught a glimpse of a familiar, shiny object in Aasha’s hands. Casually, he stuck his hands into his pockets as she leaned in and nudged him. ”That? Oh nothing, just a little something I am thinking about.” As he spoke he reached his hand into her pocket where she hid the flask and carefully picked it out and placed back into his. Before she could lean back he kissed her gently on the forehead. ”Don’t worry, you will hear it later.”

He started to shift uncomfortably in his chair as he noticed Myxti carry her gifts to a table. Finally he could remove the hidden things he lifted from the church. ”I will be right back, I need to go put my gifts with the others.” Slowly he lifted himself from the chair and made his way to the gift table. From the front of his pants he pulled out a brass candle holder, with candle.



From the custom made pocket inside his jacket, a wooden collection plate which he filled with the tips he had taken from the stable boy.



He walked back to his seat next to Aasha and sat down grinning as he pulled his flask from his pocket and tilted back for a long drink. ”There, now I can sit much more comfortably.”

[Lynna]

Her glance around the room was pointed when he spoke of nobles to run down. Smirking, she whispered; Ya can't find none fer yerself?

Sighing as he leaned in to kiss her forehead, she grabbed the front of his shirt and pulled him forward, pressing her lips hard against his. Once a thief, always a thief...the weight in her pocket got noticeably lighter, causing her lips to twitch. She should have known he wasn't distracted enough to miss her taking a swig, but she had every confidence she could coax him into sharing later. Hear whats later love?

But her curiosity about the paper was not to be appeased, though it seemed other something would be. His shifting had her raising a brow, she had no clue what his problem was, but being antsy wasn't really in his nature. Turning to watch him walk away, she let her eyes travel slowly over his body, feeling a little thrill knowing he was there with her.

She was laughing by the time he got back, unable to control a tear of mirth from rolling down her face. Anythin' else ya gots hid in there that yer wantin' to share? Clapping a hand over her mouth as soon as the words left her lips, she blushed bright red and turned back to the bar, trying her best to hide her expression. I thinks I needs a drink...

As Jasper and I arrive at Loxley Castle's main driveway , we spy a fallen figure on the gravel next to a horse and carriage .

Spuring our horses on , we make quick haste to the spot where the figure lies , just as we near the spot , the figure starts to try and sit up .

I alight from Cloud , and approach and kneel down next to him .

" Are you ok ? What happened to you ? Who did this ?" I ask him

"I'm ok now Mi'Lord , thanks for asking Sir . We had just arrived , with our passengers .
We both stepped down and opened the doors to the carriage , to allow our passengers to step down .
All of a sudden the gentleman , just turned round and punched us both clean out ." He says , obviously still in pain

"Who were your passengers ?" I quickly ask

"Lord Donnor and a Miss Aasha , Sir " he replies

Nodding to him , I turn to Jasper and say " Jasper , go with the driver , show him the way to the house , once the carriage and the horses are settled , go and speak to Gladys , have her a assign rooms to him as well as have him fed and bedded down for the night .
Also get his address and make sure any other family as well are cared for and assigned rooms in the servant quarters and have their possesions moved to their rooms "

Turning back to the driver , I say " You will no longer have to pick up , such unruly persons again , Sir .
You are now in my Father's employ . You and your family will recieve from now on decent meals , decent accommodation and more importantly a good wage for your work ."

"Sir , you are too kind , we can never hope to repay you for the generosity you have shown us !!!"He gasps

" Think nothing of it , my good man . Your smile and good health are the only repayemnt , I need .
Enough of this , lets get you into your carriage and on your to my families house " I say smiling

Japser and I , help him up and into the carriage , Japser mounts his horse and stands ready to show him the way .

I quickly wave him over and speak to him " Jasper , when you get home , go and find Capt Bryant , have him send a detachment to the Castle's grounds and have him assign Sergant Dexter to the staff here . If possible I want him in the main hall , so he can watch for trouble .
Also when you can , I want you to come back and find the young lad , who I think was taken in the house to recover , I want him employed as a member of staff a soon as possible "

Jasper nods and leads the carriage out of sight .

I brush myself down , and make sure my clothes are not ruffled



Once I see they are in good order , I walk up to the main door and enter .

I hand my Sword to a member of Staff and take a glass of wine from another member of Staff and enter the main hall .

As the carriage rolls to a halt, Liza hurries out without waiting for the helpful hand of the driver. She readjusts her gown and passes a hand over her hair, tucking a stray lock that had come undone during the ride, as she impatiently waits for her husband to join her at the castle steps, worried that they were late. Oh, love, don't forget the gifts, she tells him as he descends. Taking them from him she smiles and takes his hand as they walk up the stairs and enter.

Inside the castle, she looks around curiously as they are directed towards the banquet. The last time she had been here, it was in the midst of renovations. The castle was now complete and beautiful, elegant in an understated way that perfectly reflected Arthur's character.

Entering the banquet hall, she pauses to glance around. She breathes a slight sigh of relief as she notices that the bride and groom still have not arrived though most of the guests seem to have. Her glance travels over the tables, wondering where the best place to sit would be and if there were assigned seats. She sees Donnor and Aasha already seated and darts a worried look towards her husband. Aware of Donnor's propensity for causing a ruckus, she leans over and whispers to Wolf, Would you mind if we sit over there? I haven't had a chance to speak to my cousin since our wedding. She nods her head towards the almost empty table where Ken is seated, conveniently close to the bar. Knowing he would be seated at the head table as part of the wedding party later, she wanted this opportunity to speak with him.

Approaching him, Liza lets go of Wolf's hand and sets the gifts on the table, giving Ken a hug. How are you, cuz? she asks him with a smile as she takes a seat. I hope you don't mind if we sit here? The ceremony was lovely, don't you think? She gives him a teasing smile, remembering his part in giving her away at her own wedding. You're getting good at these things, when are you going to let me throw you a Stewart wedding of your own?

Moose and Lizzy had just been standing at the bar chating, watching as the other guests slowly started arriving. He did not recognise most of them and some he had only meet or seen briefly before now. He had alsmost not recognised Dew in his outfit as he enterd. Laughing slightly to himself remembering the crazy purple outfit Dew had worn to the Stafford Gaurd promotions, atleast this one isn't as bad he thought. He turned to Lizzy Lets go say hi to Dew shall we. He always seems to be wearing the craziest outfits to these formal events

Hi Dew mate, how's it going?

Let me introduce you to my date, Lizzy. Lizzy this is Dew, I have knowen him most of the time I have lived in Coventry, he is also a Knight of the Stafford Gaurd.

Dew, you wouldn't happen to have any of that brandy of yours on you would you?

oh, won't be a moment, i left the gift on our table..I should put it with the others..
Lizzy quickly made her way back to the table where she'd left her gloves, cloak and the wedding gift she'd brought.. and carried it carefully to the table holding the other gifts. She'd done a good job wrapping the roots, and no-one could possibly realise it hadn't come directly from some fancy horticultural show. You couldn't say it hadn't cost her either...the gardener and his boy at that fancy house had nearly caught her as she climbed back over the wall with the thing. they'd chased her half way out of town, she'd been laughing so hard it was a wonder she'd managed to escape at all. The damn thing had so many thorns that her arm was in tatters where she'd held it, thank Jah for long sleeves..

some people have money, and some have ingenuity she murmered to herself as she returned to mooses side..
