As for me...well I've been Mayor of Lichfield for 2 terms now, trying to get things back on track is a lot harder than you'd think! Plus the paperwork is a nightmare sometimes...I never was good with numbers.
Laughing at her own sillyness Lana took the drink that had been poured for her and lifted it up towards Josehf Cheers! All things will turn out well in the end...one way or another!

Taking a quick swig, Lana heard the change in music and saw yet more people dancing...

So how long do you think you'll stay in Lichfield this time? It has been very quiet recently and the extra company would be nice.

Lana grinned up at Josepf mischeviously and hoped that his answer wouldn't be short.

Yes, Zelana I am well. No harm came to me and I am well adapted to be on the road. It was all I knew as a boy growing up. I had never so much as thought of a home till i settled in Lichfield. I still to this day prefer to be on the road, but is nice to know one has a place he can return to and call it home. I am a bit exhausted though, as I have pushed hard the last few days with little sleep in order to try and make this event. But, nothing a good nights rest can't fix.

"Cheers indeed. I do know that the chores of mayor can be quite overbearing though. Many, I know seem to become overwhelmed at times with all its duties. I am sure you have done a fine job though."Josehf takes a drink from his mug, he had caught a look from Lana that told him that she too needed a break from such burdens.
"Aye, all things shall. We only need keep our minds pure and our hearts shall lead the way."
Josehf smiles at Lana and then turns towards the tables behind them. Seeing Lynna and Arthur now close together once more, he decides it be a good time to congratulate the couple.
Looking back towards Lana.
"Would you like to accompany me? I believe I should make my way to congratulate the bride and groom before they run off into the night together."

Dew mentioned he could out do his fathers gesture, she giggled with him as he was laughing and gave Arthurs arm a gentle squeeze.

She bought her hands around as he passed her a small box, she opened it as he was explaining the meaning of the gift. It was a stunning sapphire ring Oh it's beautiful Dew Thank you so much she gave him a hug , It's lovely as she showed the gift to Arthur. Look Love. With the protection of my Love and this ring I should always be safe she smiled.

Next one she heard Dew say and thought goodness she looked at him as he passed her another box opening it she sees a lovely pair of sapphire and pearl earings. You are spoiling me Dew she blushed feeling overwhelmed by his generosity.

Passing her another box holding another pair of sapphire earings she passed the gifts she already held to Arthur to hold so she could open it She gasped softly Dew this really is too much my friend I am going to have to call one of the guards to escort us to the room with these precious gifts she was truly speechless. When he was descibing the necklace he had just given her as well. My goodness Dew I don't know what to say, they are all very beautiful Thank you very much. She was holding the box containing the necklace in her hand as she gave him another hug.

Dew continued to speak as he passed her a letter, explaining it was a letter to his tailor back in Coventry who would be paying her a visit once they returned from their honeymoon with a selection of formal dresses for her to choose one and have it put on the family account.

Thank you so much Dew they are all very beautiful and generous gifts she smiled warmly at him.

"I had made plans for this day as soon as I received the invitation. But, so much has happened since then and my journey north did not go as smoothly as I had wished. I must say, a few days ago I had all but given up hope of making it back at all. So, I do apologize deeply for being so tardy, yet I am very thrilled to have at least been able to catch the site of you two together on this day. It would have been a shame to have missed the sight of you in that dress Lynna."

He was listening to Josehf speak with Lynna when he mentioned not saving him from the mines. Oh man! He laughed. He pulled Lynna closer to his side. Well, she's mine. She chose me, his eyes turned to look at her, and I'm very happy she did. He hoped that she knew that.

Hearing Josehf's questions about the honeymoon, his focus returned to him. Well, we're going to spend a few days here in Coventry to tie up a few loose ends and then we are going North to Chester. Then from there, wherever our legs lead us. We're going to take a long honeymoon away from Stafford to get used to married life. We want to meet as many people as possible.

We are just happy you could make it Joseph, there were alot that weren't able to make the trip and some that could only stay for the wedding, It's been a wonderful day she said as she held the gifts from Dew moving to Arthurs side. She was blushing, her shy demeanor surfacing as he commented on the couple and Lynnas dress.

Oh my! she smiled at Josehf as he said he regretted being involved in the mine rescue in jest, I am glad you are just kidding Josehf. Arthur laughing and pulling her closer into his side, saying she was his and how happy he was made her blush a little deeper, she loved Arthur nd now she was his wife.

As Arthur went on to answer Josehf's question about the honeymoon she added, We both definitely need a break from everything for a while she said. I am very much looking forward to it and the time with my Love, she leant into his side.

I was looking at the gifts just before, the statuette is beautiful Josehf thank you so much, I don't think Arthur has had a chance to see it yet have you Love? She asked before stepping up to Josehf again giving him another hug with her free arm It is a beautiful piece of art, I love it.

Oswald must of noticed Lynna and Arthur holding Dews gifts as they were talking, approaching he excused himself and said.

Would you like me to take the gifts for you M'lady as he extended his hand.

Lynna handed the gifts she was holding over to Oswald That would be wonderful Oswald thank you.

Arthur handed over what he was holding also saying to Oswald Good man Oswald, actually you could see to having all the gifts taken up to our room if you would.

Of course M'Lord giving a nod of his head to Arthur.

But, it passed many a nights while sitting by the campfires in Carlisle."
