Taking a deep breath she looks at the sword again taking in teh site " This is the Tudor family crest Wolfen.. And if I am not mistaken if you look in the great hall their is a picture of my grandfather holding a sword similar to this one ." she smiles and leans back more on her husband feeling the excitement making her a bit sick...

Looking at Wolfen sword and listening to them talk to each other... Tas suddenly realize why that picture in the hall looked familiar... Nah its not possible is it she thought to herself.

"Bri are you saying what I think your saying" as she started to smile then blush..."Oh my" then she chuckles...

Zipsi was lounging happily, enjoying the chance to rest after all their travelling. This was a beautiful place, the company was good, the garden was lovely and the children were simply delightful.

Looking carefully at the group as they spoke, she helped herself to yet another strawberry. It seemed that things were becoming quite interesting indeed.

Amazed, Zipsi bit right through the strawberry, coughing and spluttering when the swallowed mouthful went the wrong way.

Well he must be holding one similer, but I really wouldn't know about the crest. As I said, my father never talked about relatives that didn't live in our domain. He is a king, minor one, but one anyway. I guess you would rank him a baron here as small his area is compared to England. And he disowned me early on. But you must be mistaken, even mother didn't talk about relatives, father forbade it.

Ok, so it's your crest m'lady. Why then would it be on my sword that carries my families crest? A sword that comes from far from here.

Tas looks at Bri then Wolfen then back to Bri.. Oh my she said again..."I would ask is this a joke but I seen that sword to many times and I've seen that portrait..OH MY" she replied again.. Then she giggles.. "Dang it wolfen it seem your stuck with me again " ...

Pick up Collen and Marius then moving close to Wolfen... Tas then looks into his eye after she smiles and Winks at Zips... "Wolfen will you hold them"... Handing him Collen then Marius... "Wolfen I like to introduce you to apart of your family your dad didn't want to talk about "then she thumps him in the middles of his forehead... Now did that soak through we're family and that's even strange for me to say...As her face begins to turn bright red..

"I think I'm going to need something stronger to drink"...

Looking at the children and then Tas. No, it cant be that way. Surely it can't be that way. But here they are telling me so. Well the gods do have strange sence of humor. I start chuckleing and then, taking a drink, asking,

Ok, if this is so, then why wouldn't he speak of this? Why not mention that we have relatives here in England? Surely there is a reason not to talk about it or is there?

Looking back at Tas and seeing her turn red and knowing what what crossing her mind and chuckleing. This was to funny now, this really couldnt be the truth.

Well, I think I would like to see this painting then and you can tell me the story of how this came about and why my father won't speak of it.

Taken a shot of something the butler handed her.... "Wooo... What was that?" as she looks up for him. "OK, where did he go?" she replied..

Hearing Wolfen speak. Tas looks back at him..."Well it hanging in the great hall if you like to take a look.... Thing started to move and spin "Wow one drink and my head is spinning that a first.. Bri where did you get that stuff to drink and what was it."

Martha walks up to Tas "M'lady do you want me to take Marius he is looking a bit sleepy"

'Yes, thank you Martha as she takes him from Wolfen gives him a kiss then hands him to Martha "

Turning her attention back to Wolfen she tries to smiles..."How weird is this you and I family again...I'm not sure of the story and why your dad didn't want you to know the Tudors but let me" as it trails off... then she looks at Bri. "I will let you do it Bri...I'm not feeling right after that drink."

Giggling at Tas she looks back to Wolfen " What was your mothers name?" Having her husband helping her up off the ground. Im in need of a place a bit softer to sit im not holding up to well down there.. Shall we proceed to the table in the gardens. Kids come on time to eat"

With a scream of happiness she sees the kids streaking towards the tables the girls stopping and trying to carry Collen as Gretchen steals him away from them "Little misses you brother aint a potato sack.. Be careful." Gretchen shook her head and lead them off to their own table..

Following Bri with my arm around Zipsi and giving her a qick kiss on the cheek. While I think on this. it has been a very, very long time since I had even seen her. And when she left one day, father quit speaking of her aswell.

Her name? Lets see...Mary, Mary Elizabeth. Thats it. I was just thinking about how long it has been since I had seen her. I was very small when she up and left our home. Father and her had some sort of fight the night before and come morning she was on a coach leaving. Never heard or saw her again and father wouldnt speak of it either.

It wasn't till I met Decus that I found out I had a brother from her aswell. But his father was differant.
A frown crosses my face for a minute as I quietly think of my dead brother. Thinking of him lead to thining of my other losses aswell and I grow quiet while my mind wondered.

Watching everyone rise and move toward the table. As Tas stands she gentle ajust her dress as she follows them.

After sitting Tas continues to listen to Wolfen talk and watching the expression on his face as he talks about his brother made her feel sad for him.. but she figure when one door closes another always opens but she knew he didn't want to here that right now..So she just kept silent and listen to them talk.

a carriage makes its way through the countryside outside the city of Penrith, with guards mounted on horseback in front and behind the carriage along with guards stationed on various positions along the carriage

coming to a bend in the road and exiting the forest a stately castle can be seen with the Tudor flag flying atop the Castle indicating this was indeed Greystoke Castle


A guard riding ahead of the carriage dismounts his horse in front of the Castle and knocks on the Castle door where he is greeting and asks to speak to the Lady of the House

Pardon the interruption, but is the Lady Brianna Tudor available?

The Guard is identified by the arms affixed to his shield....



the carriage with the same markings pulls into the front of the Castle as the Guard is speaking to the Lady of the House

the Guards dismount their horses and approach the carriage on both sides....

Sitting at his post not used to much happening at Greystoke the colors of a flag catch his eyes realizing who had arrived as the Regent addressed him "... Your Highness, Please enter " Fumbling he moves to the side to allow entrance to the party.

A sight of Jonathan hurrying out the door looking as if he had seen a ghost rushing across the lawn .. Giving her a bow he leans into her ear "Your Highness, the prince is here to see you.. I passed him on the way back from town mailing that letter you asked me to . He is at the guard house right now."

Smiling softly "Try to not lose your head dear.. Alert the staff to his presence and make rooms available for him and his family if they so wish to stay.. I shall have Ingrid escort them to the guarden.. Please also alert Ned that he is here and to double the guard around the grounds or how every he sees fit to .

"Ingrid be a dear and answer the door the Prince is here and I think poor Jonathan is going to get sick.. We can't have him throwing up on the Regents shoes now can we. Please do show him out to the guardens." She smiles checking to make sure her hair was still arranged and the kids were near.

Dismissing herself Ingrid makes her way throught he house to the front door watching as the maids bustle up the stairs with fresh linens and flowers.. Opening the door she stood there awaiting the prince ...

Evan, takes a strawberry and goes to dunk it into

Looking forlornly into his empty flute and then around at the guests empty glasses, thinking
This shall not do, I’m slipping……

His arms wrapped around Bri, helping his dearest up, kisses his wife’s ear

Walks over to the panther, kneeling down next to the animal, whispers a command and his ‘shadow’ follows him back to the castle.
He makes his way back inside the castle, in and down, the panther making its way to the special area just for the animal, whispers a command, the panther remains behind. Evan retrieves another bottle of his favorite thirst quencher

On his way up he is almost run down by Ingrid who was in a bit of a hurry……maids running past him with fresh linens and flowers up the stairs……

There stood a confused man with a bottle of champagne
What is………..INGRID!!…….what is going on……
A harried Ingrid just turns, glares for a moment at Evan, Not now Evan…the Prince is here…… waving her finger at him, ….BEHAVE! and makes her way to the front door.
A curious smiling Evan follows

Simultaneously arriving at the front door with Ingrid, she just looks at him sternly once more, waves a finger silently at him and opens then door.

A Guard asks

Pardon the interruption, but is the Lady Brianna Tudor available?

Unable to contain himself a smiling Evan steps through the door, puts on a quite serious look, stands in front of the guard and replies
I should say NOT kind sir, the princess is SPOKEN for! Here…..be a good chap now and hold this for me… hands the guard the champagne bottle, smiling, shaking the guards hand first thank you...thank you
Handing the guard the bottle of champagne and walking towards the royal coach, he is of course IMMEDIATELY stopped by the guards around the carriage.

Standing on his toes, looking past, around, over the Royal Guards, speaking towards the carriage
Sir!........hello…….if you would care to join us sir, we are all in the gardens then, patting his hands upon the guards shoulders And you chaps are invited too. Follow me……
Turning, he heads back towards his ‘drafted’ butler….the guard holding the champagne bottle…….

the Guard seeing the Gentleman of the House come outside, he was about to believe he had caused a misunderstanding, but then notices the Gentleman smiling and takes the glass

Seeing the exchange and the tenseness of his guards, Chris and Kylonaa along with the three children and attendants exit the carriage and follows the gentleman and the lady he heard being called Ingrid into the gardens

Good day all. I am Prince Chris Braveheart Stuart, this is my wife Lady Kylonaa Stuart, Baroness of Bideford, and our children Katherine, William, and Henry. We are here to visit at the gracious invitation of Princess Brianna Tudor. What a wonderful Castle you have.....I have not traveled through Cumberland before, the country is beautiful here.

A sound of little thunderous feet came running down the hall and poking their heads out the door.. Aiyanna and Ana first to slowly creep towards their fathers giving the prince their best bow trying not to fall over "Yowr Highnwess." the girls giggled at the sight of the other children noticing there was a girl..... The boys coming out playing with their swords and rough housing as Ana gave them a shove whispering "Your suppose to bow dummy its a prince."Looking around the corner to see if their mother had seen their mistake the let out a sigh a gave big bows "Youwr Highwness" all three Keagon, Keiron, and Calwin said in their most grown up little boy voice.

Watching in the gardens as her children took off she shook her head and chased after them as fast as she could her belly now quit big ... Finally arriving at the door she watches her sons bow with a smile at her little gentleman.. Taking the help of Jonathan down the stairs "Your Highness and Baroness Kylonaa, it is lovely to see you.. I do hope me wild little troop of infants has not assaulted you.." she chuckles "Please do come in we are having dinner in the garden and enjoying the cool breeze while the children seek and destroy the threat of my rose bushes."

"Can the kids pway wif us?" Keiron held out an extra wooden sword with a smile..

"Henri is getting quit big and very handsome I do say he gets his good looks from his mother.." giving Kylonna a wink , "Collen is in the gardens with the nanny im afraid he can't quit keep up with these lot yet. Showing the way towards the gardens she points to the other side of the grounds "Over there is the guard house and right next to is the stables.. Do have your men feel free to rest and clean up if you wish. Food will be brought out to them shortly. Now my husband how about you escort us to the gardens?

With one motion, walks behind Brianna, his left arm on her back, his right SWEEEEEEEEPS up under her legs, sweeping her off her feet, carrying her, kisses her softly upon her lips.

OOC:Apologies for a very long introduction here, feel free to skim it and start where I italisize, I just want Brianna to know I am actually doing something for her household! :wink:

Nedefaron was sitting in the guardhouse, looking over reports from Lady Brianna's various manors. Most were positive, though here and there flukes had occured. A few fiery spirits and upstarts, nothing unexpected. One wagon of supplies had been lost fording a river after a rainstorm. Nedefaron would have to look into that one. The loss wasn't exactly cheap, and he was using up enough funds as it was to get his new programs started. He would have to send out his officers with a new set of lessons on 'caution'. Nedefaron had fortunately managed to keep his name away from many of the churchmen in the towns he was managing now. He wasn't sure if his religous choices were well known in the smaller villages away from the news and haste of city life, but he imagined they wouldn't react well to the knowledge - particularly on top of the requests to house officers in churches AND allow sunday afternoons, when most work was forgone anyway, for archery practice and, once a month when one of Nedefaron's own trained (and, unfortunately, paid) men could reach them to supplement the locally picked peasant commander some more advanced swordplay and other drills. He even had a traveling herd of horses to train the men in cavalry charges on a beast actually capable of the task. He could hardly supply enough for towns to have a standing herd, excluding some of the larger ones, but he wouldn't have his soldiers completely unawares. On the weeks his officers were in town (they were constantly patrolling the countryside at this point in order to stay on schedule, which had the added benefit of more news between towns) he had to steal an extra day of the week to make the training worthwhile, and already a few complaints from this or that small lord in the Lady Brianna's lands came in about work lost on this or that day contrary to this or that peasant who owed him this or that much labor on that one day. Nedefaron at first had argued with them through letters from Greystroke, or had his officers do so, but eventually had learned a far better way.

The locals were always resistant until the first border raids (Bri's territory was particularly susceptible, being all along the northern edge of England) when the damages were remarkably fewer, a product of the far more efficient military system emerging amongst her townsfolk. Even the Tudors didn't have the money to maintain a standing army of almost seven thousand men - a good idea of what Brianna could muster Nedefaron had found - but he could arrange for the next best thing. A well trained host that could be called upon in time of need, ready to fight. He had been overjoyed to discover that many men of his own country, Wales, had come to the north of England (where they could readily adapt to the area, similar to their homeland, and operate a flock of sheep for a living - a common job in the north) to seek opportunity with the Tudor's, a family Welsh enough to satisfy. Many of these men were skilled in battle, some of them veterans and others the sons of veterans from Owain Glyndwr's recent Welsh wars. This experience had helped them quickly become officers, and their mountain spirits had met with the wildness of the North English quite pleasantly, a good sign. Nedefaron could not risk a mutinous band of soldiers on account of race, and was sure to set Welshman and Englishman working together wherever possible.

All in all, things were working out quite well. The number of succesful reaver attacks had dropped considerably, and the goods and money saved because of that could be turned around to fund Nedefaron's projects right away. He was planning for a few mock skirmishes between forces, or a tournament or two for practice, and was gazing hard at maps for ideal locations when he recieved the message from Brianna.

"The Regent has arrived? I should have been informed when his carriage was in sight, if my guess at the size of his retinue is at all accurate. Please inform the guards of that." Nedefaron stood quickly and gave a quick nod to the messenger. He turned swiftly, his maps getting caught in the breeze of his green cloak as it passed over the table. His green eyes fell on Rhys Howell, the man he had picked as his second in the Tudor forces, once Gweirydd had taken command of his personal troops. "As she commands, two shifts out guarding at a time, and I want longbowmen with flint, tinder, and oiled arrows out on the grounds and in the woods. If there's trouble send up a flaming arrow and we'll have a force sent out there. Put some of my own longbowmen on the battlements as well, we'll need their sharp eyes. Make it snappy, but do not disturb His Royal Highness. Of course, an armed guard near him, but stay out of the way of his own forces. And enforce the wearing of livery amongst our own soldiers. That is all." Nedefaron gave a short nod, then securing his sword and baldric before turning one final time, and in far more gentle tones calling out "Rhys? Also send someone down to the kitchens and make sure that the cook isn't sleeping again. I expect her ladyship will be expecting a particularly fine meal tonight." Nedefaron turned once again, and hurried from the guardhouse to make sure his commands were carried out, sparing a chuckle as he recalled the flurry in the kitchens with the previous guest. Food just wasn't of a normal caliber at Greystroke when it was a drunk and drowsy cook making it. They might not be able to sober him up, but atleast they could wake him up this time.

The eve just beginning……

The orange sky giving way to the pastel purples of late dusk, the crimson orb surrendering the rule of the sky to the night goddess rising fully adorned in blue grey in the east.
A cool refreshing breeze from the north kissed the faces of those in the garden, carrying the floral scents of early summer and the promise of another restful evening.

Escorting the party to the outdoor dinner table.
Taking his love to the tables arranged in the garden in an open grove, Evan kisses her, carrying her to a chair near the head of the table.
Looking over his shoulder, calling to the small playful ones.
Kids……come on….almost time to eat
Ingrid not far behind just gives Evan a look…….Evan returns the gesture with an innocent

Placing his hands on the back of Brianna’s chair, leans in towards her whispering a little something upon her ear.

Tas was still talking with Wolfen and Zips when she sees Evan carrying Bri.. Rising quickly as she thought something had happen but seeing them smiling she realized he was just be loving.. Then she notices a lovely a couple with childern standing just behind them.. then she noticed it was the Prince and his lovely family..

Standing to greet them Tas remember she didn't have her shoes on... Looking around she didn't see them any where... then looking over at the boys she notice they were giggling at her... Oh I going to get'm when this is over sighing slightly as she uses her dress to covers her feet.
Taking a few steps towards everyone Tas smiles then begins to speak. "Welcome Prince Chris and Lady Kylonaa and my I say what a lovely family you have..

arriving in the lovely Gardens, Kylonaa comments on how lovely they are and the twins begin smelling the flowers and begins to pick them when I notice and give them a stern 'don't you dare' look....

Oh no, they are adorable children Princess. Maybe they can tire our little ones out, they grow quite restless traveling after their nap is over and they still can not get outside and play much on the road. We would be honored to join you for dinner.

You have a wonderful estate Princess. Indeed, guards you may take your leave to tend to the horses and clean and rest before you eat. There are plenty of guards around and we are safe here.

the nursemaids attend to the children playing in the garden while we walk and chat with Brianna and Evan stopping at a spot in the gardens to share a meal together

You both should not fuss over us while we are here. However I must say the food does look and smell quite delicious. And what a wonderful view sitting out here eating. Ky, we should set a place out to eat at Hartland Abbey overlooking the sea. It is quite tranquil there and you must visit if you are even in the South of England.

Oh yes, I remember now. You'll have to forgive me as my guards kept interrupting me because of a disturbance and threat nearby and then there was the matter of everyone being new at once and I am typically horrible with names. laughing Do forgive me. Your husband, Elson, is he on the road currently south of here? I have been told they are preparing for some possible attacks there.

smiles Indeed and I am sure I would do the same if you were at Hartland Abbey or visiting at the Tower of London. So Princess, what is this I hear of an auction you hosted for your nephew was it? I have to say that I am not sure I would want to go to the highest bidder, though in my case I may have to actually be the one supplying the cash to the bidders otherwise a poor sum would be had by the auctioneer. laughing hard and then sampling a wonderful cut of cheese

And yes, my children do not get to play with other children much except for themselves....the twins are a bit inseparable, except when we must after they have tolerated as much as they can stand of one another for the day.... laughing
