Finishing with Eary she heads over the bar looking at Evan "So dear are you enjoying yourself at all?"

Catching the attention of the bartender, tapping his champagne flute, a crystalline ring resonates within the room, still a bit quiet, just the murmur of conversations and light laughter. The glow from candelabra’s bathing the room in a welcoming warm glow, setting a mood, setting the tone for the evening. The painting’s on the ceiling taking on a life of their own in the candlelight.

“Another Bollinger for the Lady my good man.”

Turning towards Bri, a smile lighting his face “Hi!”

Champagne arrives, handing Bri the flute…….”I thought I said to ‘Go’…..”
“But that’s right you said….”

You know I never do what I’m told…ever

A wink, a smile, “We’ll have to see about that”, tapping the glasses, “Cheers”
“You do look lovely tonight Bri.”
“But there is something missing………”, while looking about the room, absently flicks at the glass with his finger, the crystalline ring resonates again…..
“Ah……….thats it……..”, gazing down at the rippling champagne in the ringing flute, then up at Bri with a finger below his ear,”Music my dear….the very heart of affairs such as this....the soul of gatherings...the escence of life.”
“Perhaps I should go make a request of the pianist………..anything you would care to hear dear?”
“Save me a dance later……? Perfect evening for just such a gathering, Bri.”

[Tasite]

Taking the flute she smiles "Do you remember when we were playing one day and we broke my mothers favorite flutes while playing .. I thought we were going to be in so much trouble .. But daddy always came to the rescue of his little princess he did.."

"Music would be grand a good way to get things moving I do say" Sitting down her flute she waves at the orchestra to begin as she claps her hands and they begin.. A lovely slow song begins to radiate through the room..

[Tasite]

Placing his hand on his chin, shuffling his feet a bit, looking at the floor.......an 'O' forms on his lips, eyebrows raised.
"Oh.....how could I forget.....your mother looked at me so.....she was livid, but thankfully kept it in check....I thought for sure I was gonna be put in irons.”

Then looking back up at Bri, raising his hand pointing
”I remember…….I told you NOT to use those tall flutes, but to take the short tea cups…..but no…..you insisted…….said they would”
And in his best high-pitched-little-girl voice
”look pretty”, smiles at Bri………..
”Jah girl…….almost got ‘thrown in the dungeon for ya’”

”That’s a beautiful piece the orchestra is playing”
Setting down the champagne glass on the bar, holding out his hand
”It’s not the dance floor, but would you care to dance?”

[Tasite]

Laughing at the tail she allows herself to smile enjoying letting go for only a minute. Sitting down her flute "Aye I would be most honored my dear friend for a dance"

Taking her skirt in one hand she curtsies and holds out her arm for him to take as he leads her to the dance floor.

"I do hope you have gotten better my poor toes surely can't handle to much tonight." she chuckles

[Tasite]

Leading the princess around the dance floor………
…..….recalling the times, long ago, where she would frustratingly reverse hands during a dance, and say with a quite serious look on her small face every time he intentionally tripped up a few dance steps
“Not like that…..here….I’ll show you…..again.”
Quickly reversing her hands and suddenly finding himself being led around in reverse in doubletime “Like that…..now you try……..honestly Evan…..”

[Tasite]

Following the direction of where Cousin Bri was pointing Nova heads out to find the Irish whiskey. Upon passing Smom and Lady Richgrams and hearing his name Nova stops and ask "Is everything alright ladies" as he bows with a smile on his face....

[Tasite]

Looking up as she hears a familiar voice "Well speak of the devil" she smiles back at Nova "Nova Phoenix I would like to finally introduce you to my Mother, Lady Richgrams." looking back at her mom "Mother this is Nova, glad you can finally meet in person after all this time."

Turning back to Nova "Would you care to join us for a drink? I will understand if you are busy."

[Tasite]

"I would love to but I must find the Prince his drink forehand" Nova says " But I shall return for that drink when I finish" he states as he turn to go get the whiskey...

[Tasite]

Ekaterine settles by Algernon. and looks longingly after Nova. Her feet tap in time to the music and she gazes at the dance floor.

[Tasite]

The Prince looked over to his cousin, observing her looking at the dance floor. He cocked an eyebrow, then winked at her. 'You do fancy the man, I see, cousin,' he said. 'He shall be here soon again,' he smiled. 'And you shall have that dance.' The Prince leaned back in the chair, recalling now his first dance with his betrothed. He could always expect to lose all sense of time at the touch of his beloved.

[Tasite]

"I would love to but I must find the Prince his drink forehand" Nova says " But I shall return for that drink when I finish" he states as he turn to go get the whiskey...

"Do send our regards to the Prince, Nova. I am going to have to leave myself in a bit I am afraid, my children are going to need me home it was so nice seeing you again. Please don't be such a stranger. Have a wonderful night."she says to her old friend.

[Tasite]

As Nova hurries off, richgrams raises her voice.
Good to finally meet you!
Then she turns back to Smom.
Not the most polite person I've met.
I'm getting tired, Smom and would like to leave with you.
Let's find Lady Bri and Tas to say our goodbyes.

[Tasite]

With her mother at her side Smom makes her way over to Tasite "I am sorry but I must leave now. I see Bri is dancing so please tell her good bye for us. My wet nurse is ill so I must go home and feed the babies before they go to sleep for the night. I do hope to see you and Elson soon. Hope all get better fast and it does not spread to any more this winter. Thanks again for inviting us. Goodbye."their Goodbyes said they make their way to their carriage and home to Morgan Manor.

[Tasite]

As Evan wisked her around the dance floor she looks at him "Well I must say you have turned out quit handsome Evan. Mother always did say you would be a handsome man but I could never see passed the little boy with his finger up his nose. I am sure you have the ladies giving you their hankies and their hearts im sure.." She blushed slightly as she caught herself feeling his muscles in his arm.

[Tasite]

MiniPhoenix hugs Auntie Tasite. "Thanks for inviting me. I'm leaving with Grandmum and Auntie Smom, but I'll definitely come visit you again before I leave Penrith. Please let Brianna know that I thought her party was fantastic." Mini hugs Tasite again. "Take care of that baby." Mini said, then left with her aunt and grandmother.

[Tasite]

The bittersweet sound of the strings swelled, an uplifting crescendo, followed by the cascading finale of the minuet. They elegantly, effortlessly, floated across the floor.

”The ladies……..they do as they please.”

Their steps in brilliant contrast to Bri’s sharp wit. She hasn’t changed……or has she.

Mother always did say you would be a handsome man but I could never see past the little boy with his finger up his nose.

“And look at you…”, taking her by the hand, raising it above her head, twirling her gracefully around.

”Not quite the tom-boy I remember, running around the woods and through creeks, capturing frogs, and placing them in the sugar bowls for the maid to discover…….or placing the fish we caught in your mothers bath, her reaction I believe was heard clear across the county, and don’t even think of trying to pin that idea on me, missy.”

A spin, bringing her back into his right arm, a deep dip, back up and into his arms.
Fixing her with his blue eyes
”I distinctly recall telling you, princess, that she wouldn’t buy the pet excuse.”

Upon having searched a few places for the whiskey Nova returns triumphant "Alas Milord I have found were the princess keeps her good liquors" setting two bottles on the table he smiles... Thinking and listening to the music Nova ask Ekaterine " Would you care for a dance"..

[Tasite]

His Royal Highness broadly smiled as he reviewed the bottles. 'We do thank thee so very much, my good man, and certainly thank Her Royal Highness as well.' He looked upon the bottle as he might an old friend.

Perhaps that should have worried him...

[Tasite]

Smiling softly "I have no idea what you are talking about Evan I would have always been a lady even at such a young age.." Letting him spin her she was taken back to when Roh had lead her out on the dance floor for their wedding as she sighed wishing he would hurry home she missed him horrible.

[Tasite]

Her soft smile always managed to become mirrored upon his face when beheld by him.
The truth of her quick denial

betrayed by the charmingly whimsical mischievous glimmer in her dazzling eyes.

The music, the moment passed, she was not here…..

The reminisced time, the sweet shared past, was quickly replaced by an ever so subtle change in her manner, a change in her expression, one of………..longing?

They continued the dance for a few measures of time, but it had ended she was away, he was here, but not here.

And then Evan thought……Evan quickly scans the room as he twirls the princess
Where is he?.......they are inseparable…surely Bri cannot be here without…..where is he?????

Gazing into her eyes "Bri?.........Bri?.....you alright my princess?"

[Tasite]

Looking at Evan she smiles "Aye I am fine I am just missing Roh he has been gone so long for this trip.. He wrote the other day he had feel ill and I miss him horrible.. I may have to see if I can go find him." she lets out a sigh as feelings of guilt come over her.. Her beloved was probably sick and she was at a party.

[Tasite]

I may have to see if I can go find him.

He stopped abruptly when he heard her words, they struck him, her tone, and without thinking about whom he was addressing, spoke
“NO! I absolutely forbid it!....................”
Then catching the quick ‘Really’ look she gave him, her voice, her soft words from before echoing in his heart……”You know I never do what I’m told…ever”

He spoke again, quickly, quietly, for just her ears, just above a whisper
“I mean…..not alone Bri……I’ll go with you if you go anywhere……Soul is here…..in the stable…..not alone……..do you hear me, princess?”
Lifting her chin slightly, gently with his hand
"Are you listening to me........not alone........ok.......

[Tasite]

Struck by his tone she looked taken back at first "I will not go by myself.. But I must find out if he is ok I am worried sick.. i have written to a friend he is on his way here to help me... Evan you may not like him he isn't know as the best of person from his actions.... But he is the only one I can trust to do anything to help me find Roh." She bows her head slightly ..

"You can come with me if you like.. It might not be an easy journey to handle.. . " She looks at him a tear welling up in side of her,

Lifting her chin with his hand, gazing into her sad eyes, fixing her attention with his, a serious level tone to his voice.
”Bri…..It is not what I like, nor the ease or hazards of the journey, nor whom I prefer to travel with that is my concern. Only your safety, princess, is what concerns me.
And as far as this persons actions, the only ones that would concern me would be the actions taken during this trip. If you believe this person is the best to assist you in this journey then I shall respect your judgment and not second guess your choice of traveling companion.”

Softening the tone, lowering his voice again to a near whisper
”Bri ….do you trust me?…..you know me…..do you wish me to go with you?……I recall telling you once a long time ago I’d be your guard……”
A remembrance of a small boy swinging a wooden sword, demonstrating his prowess with it to his princess.
A small smile appears upon his face, again gazing into her dazzling eyes
”That I’d keep away the demons and dragons, that I’d chase all the trolls back under bridges and into their hovels, that I’d defeat the Black Knight and save you. Will you allow me that chance?
I’d like to help you if you permit it, princess.”
