the carriage ride seemed to take forever....she was eager to arrive atthe party to see all her friends..and especially him. Finally the carriage slowed to a stop and she alighted, adjusting her dress slightly, she peeks up subtly looking for a special person in the crowd..feeling slightly shy she hangs back slightly. Feeling the glare on the back of her neck, she lowers her eyes circumspectly and awaits her travelling companion and protector to emerge as any unescorted and unwed young woman of quality would she can still hear the lecture that had occupied her companion on the way to the party. He had discovered her intent to slip away to the party alone and had proffered his opinion...frequently...and endlessly as he accompanied her.



Despite being on her best behavior, enforced by her beloved but proper cousin, Ekaterine scanned the people through her lowered eyelashes....looking for...him. As HRH Algernon alights from the carriage, she spots him off to the side of the throng....her heart beats in her throat and she struggles to not betray her feelings as she takes the arm of her cousin as is proper.

Elson walks into the room and sit at a corner. He is not fully recover but he just want to show up and meet the person he miss.

When he saw Tasite, he walk over to her and hug her from behind.

"Surprise, my dear." A kiss and say "I will be sitting at the corner resting, call me if you need me."

Walks up beside Qyrix and wraps her arms in his and smiles at Tas...

Seeing Eruanne walk in, LadyGina smiled broadly & watched the young woman approach. When she got to them, she said,

“Gina, I am so happy you came. Have you ever been to Cumberland before?”

Hugging Eruanne, she says, "Hi Eruanne !! It's good to see you too. I honestly can't remember if I've ever been to Cumberland before. It seems like a long time ago I attended a function the Princess held, but I do not recall if it was in Cumberland or elsewhere lol....I guess that's what I get for going to so many parties."

Becoming a bit bewildered as so many started arriving at once, Gnome tried to keep track of it all; many he knew, some he didn't but were calling his own family members family ...

Princess, I do agree with my dear Lady Gina; you are radiant, great to see you again!

Mala! What a pleasant surprise! And my thanks, Tasite for introducing Gina and Mala as I stand here bewildered trying to find my tongue.

Gnome smiles respectfully as Tasite jokes about her size.

Gratefully accepting the wine from the Princess, Gnome couldn't help but notice as a cloudy look passed briefly before the her eyes. Concerned, but not really sure what to say to Princess Brianna in the presence of so many, Gnome turned back to Tasite making a mental note to find a moment to approach the Princess less publically.

Tasite, my cousin, glad you are well and am looking forward to getting to meet that new person you are carrying!

Gnome bows respectful greeting as so many he has seen in the past but not really known too well arrive.

Mayor Quirix, Jeal, so glad to see you both again.

Glancing out of the corner of his eye, he gives his lady a questioning look as if to say, 'let me know if you need anything.' Hoping they have spent enough time together that she would understand his facial expression.

Smiling at all the new faces she is seeing, LadyGina catches Gnome's eye & understands the expression & questioning look on his face. He is making sure she is doing ok, & she knows, as always, if she needs anything she just needs to let him know, & he will get it. It is a wonderful feeling to have someone care for you so much.....
Nodding slightly & winking at him, she lets him know she is doing fine.

As she was asking speaking to Qyrix, his lovely wife Jeal walks up and wraps her arms in his. Tasite smiles and says, Hello dear I misses you. Yes me and my package are getting alone quite well. I'm glad to see you two have made it.

Feeling some gentle hands she turns, "Sweetheart! as she was so very happy so see him.' Kissing him she says "If you feel up to it stay and greet some of our friends." she says with a loving smile.

Excusing her self from the group she made her way into the hall to check and make sure all the carriage were being attended to and all her guests were getting taken care of.. Notcing several quests outside she smiles "Nova! You should come inside its freezing out here you will catch cold.. We can't have you sick now can we cousin darling... "

Shooting a glance over she gives smom a wave as she notices Kate smiling and looking stary eyes giggling she walks over and takes her arm " Perhaps we should get you inside its a bit cold out here dont you think?"

George arrived at the Greystoke Castle as soon as he managed to finish with his council affairs back in Stafford. He had visited Cumberland when serving with the 7th NEA.

He found his way the room where everyone was gathered and noticed more than a few familiar faces most of them were fellow KoP Knights. He walked towards Tas

"Milady it is wonderful to see you. You look ravishing tonight..." He paused and added with a smile "... as does every mother to be. I hope the General is doing well, he seemed a bit tired the last time we met"

[Tasite]

While Nova was speaking to his friend Loquetous, he notice Smom walking up. He turns, bows and ask her "how are you?" as he proceeds to give her friendly hug and a kiss on the cheek. When you notice a familiar carriage arriving. Looking at Smom, Nova says "Excuse me" as he starts toward the carriage.Feeling his friends hand on his shoulder bidding him to wait.

Turning towards his friend, he find himself blinded by a pair of soft hands over his eyes.. Chucking "Hello dear sister." has he gives her a brotherly hug and a kiss on the forehead.

Yes, dear cousin. As Nova offer her his arm, Bri take his arm and drags him toward the carriage.
As they make there way to the carriage, Nova bow and kisses her hand. "Good evening Lady Ekaterine, tis always a pleasure to see your lovely face and beautiful smile." Turning towards the HRH Algernon. "Good evening M'lord it is a pleasure to see once again. You are escorting such heavenly lady." as he smile at Ekaterine.

[Tasite]

Seeing George walk up to her, she smiles. "Hello there M'lord, welcome to Greystoke... Thank you Sir that so sweet, but I'm afraid I'm starting to look very large." she chuckles. "Yes My dearest husband is doing better but still a little tired so he sitting for a bit. Maybe you can talk with him, I know he would love to see you." she smiles gently

After greeting Nova, as he excuses himself, Smom makes her way inside and looks to find her Mother. On her way she hears a familiar voice and turns to see her old friends Jealeaia and Qyrix from Reading, as she approaches them she is flooded with memories of days gone past.

Pulling Jeal into a hug "Jeal, it is so nice to see you once more. And Q...Mayor.... what can I say. Was about time my friend. I have missed you both. How is Reading? I hope it has not changed to much." she looks from one to the other awaiting an answer.

MiniPhoenix arrives at Greystoke Castle a little late after just a couple hours earlier having rescued a poor puppy dog at Morgan Manor. She walks up to her dear friend Tasite, who had invited her to the party.

"I'm so sorry I'm late. I found a puppy today and I thought I'd bring her along so you could meet her. I hope I'm not overstepping my bounds by bringing her to the party, but I wanted to give her to you as a gift. That is, if Princess Brianna wouldn't mind a new puppy in her home." Mini held the dog out to Auntie Tasite.



"I thought you'd like her. I named her Princess Rose." Mini said.

[Tasite]

Tasite turns to see Mini walking up with a cute puppy. "Aww how cute." she says "Mini to me your never late and for me it is always a pleasure to see you. Over stepping no I don't nor would Bri think you are over stepping your bounds dear and I believe the kids would love her. Aww come her cuttle" as Tasite take the puppy from Mini.

[Tasite]

"greetings Sir Nova, it is always a pleasure to see you again" Ekaterine eyes twibkle as she greets her friends, but she remains demure, concious of the watchful eye of her cousin who has been in rather a mood of late. Ekaterine was all to aware that he could choose at any moment to leave and she was indeed quite certain that an airy"oh go ahead without me!" would not play well this evening.

She hoped that Sir Nova would see the warmth in her smile..." and where is your lovely sister this evening? Is she doing well in her condition?"
She hoped that Sir Nova would stay close, for all her politicking like mad, these large social gatherings made her feel like a fish out of water sometimes.

[Tasite]

"Aww. Auntie Tasite, I'm just glad she found a good home for her. I know you and Brianna and family will take good care of her." MiniPhoenix smiles.

She then waves to Grandmum and Auntie Smom whom she notices were able to make it ahead of her. She also sees some old friends from Wiltshire, which makes her happy.

His Royal Highness was being seated by servants as Sir Nova Phoenix Windsor greeted him. His eyes narrowed a bit. Feeling more than a little weak and woozy, he was in a most irritable mood as was transparent in his face. 'Indeed we are, dear sir. She would be the cousin to His Royal Highness, mo col ceathrair. We are forever mindful of that. We have our greatest treasure, greatest pleasure...'


'Greatest betrayal,' he then thought, but did not utter...

'From members of a welcoming family we never thought we had when we lived in Erin.'

Spotting Mini, Richgrams motions for her to come join herself and Smom.

What a lovely gift I saw you give to Tasite. I hope it was well received.
Smom has been trying to keep up with the arrivals - telling me who they all are. There are many new faces for me tonight, but a few old ones also.
Lady Bri really knows how to throw a party. I so enjoyed myself at her family Christmas party. You must try the pheasant, it's superb!

As the princess smiled she excused her self from Nova and kate making her way back into the party.. Making her way around the roon she speaks to everyone..

On the other side of the room two sets of eyes peep around the door looking at what is going on as one of the giggle "Aiyanna be quiet or we will be in big twou...."Ana started until she started to say until her eyes caught the puppy "wook its a puppy he is alot smaller than Gworge"" Aiyanna looks at her as the smile and the both bolt through the door sneaking around things to get to Tas.. A small whisper comes from behind the table "Cousin Twas, Can we see the puppy.. We are hiding mama will be mad if we are up out of bed. But we heard everyone and...we just saw the puppy.. THe girls look up at Tas with their own puppy dog pleads.

"She will be well taken care of dear don't worry. Princess Rose how cute. Your name fits you cuttle." Before Tas could finish her sentence she heard her name. Looking down she see the girls, Aiyanna and Ana asking to see the puppy. Smiling as she moves towards them,"Yes take her to your room to play." Winking as she hands them the puppy her "Her name is Princess Rose, and your secret is safe with me" she giggles.. "I remember the fun sneaking down to parties when I was young, wanting to see what was going on. "Looking up and seeing Bri headed her way. "Scoot now girls here comes your mam."

[Tasite]

The girls giggled as the puppy squirmed around in their arms as the rushed out of room quickly before thei mother could spot them..

The princess walking towards Tas looks with a sly grin "You know I think I just saw a small redheaded and blonde blur leave this room wonder what that was." she giggles slightly hearing a small bark"Was that a bark?

[Tasite]

Tas give the Princess a sweet smile as she walks up to her. "You did, that strange I didn't notice anythingt." she giggles "What was what dear I didn't hear anything except for everyone talking" as she looks around the room.

Ouch! she giggles "I think I just got kicked" putting her hand on her stomach.

[Tasite]

MiniPhoenix walked over to her Grandmum and gave her a hug.

"I think Tasite likes the puppy," Mini said as she noticed two children creep up next to Tasite and take Princess Rose. "Looks like the children like her too," Mini laughed.

"I'm glad Auntie Smom has introduced you to some people. If there's anyone I know, I'll introduce you as well."

Mini smiled as Grandmum then began to talk about how much she liked Princess Brianna's parties. "Oh, this is my first chance to go to one, and so far it's absolutely lovely." Mini chimed. "I'm glad I was able to come."

[Tasite]

Giving Tas a mischievous smile she quickly feels her stomach as she says the baby kicked "Ohh I missed it but im sure soon you will be yelling that he is trying to kick a ball to the stars or she is trying her dance moves in there. What ever it might be"

The invitation a surprise, opening it, reading, the name Brianna captured his eye and stood out as if emblazoned.
A flicker of memory, a twinkling glimpse of childhood, of days gone by. Of gardens and lilac, of running through fields, of warm summer sun and cooling rains, of laughter, water colored cloud dappled endless cerulean skys.
Placing the invitation on the desk, walking over placing hands on the mantel gazing into the flames of the humble fireplace…………..’think man, think…..try to remember…….could she be……’, looking back at the invitation calling to him on the desk.
It would be a long ride to Penrith, but he must find out. The decision made, picking up the invite, taking Soul from the stable, saddling up.

Several stops and day’s later arriving, the trip uneventful, walking besides the white mare not much taller than he.
Stopped by a stream to allow Soul a drink a few miles back. He has been walking since, it was a perfect cool evening, and she needed the break. Being certain that Soul is well cared for at the stable, he walks towards the impressive castle.
Thinking, remembering, smiling, ‘Bri always wanted to be……….’

Entering the ballroom, he scans the room for her, wondering if after all these years he would be able to……………there she is………..hasn’t changed a bit after all this time………Bri. Looking lovely in her black gown. It was whimsically humorous in a way to see her in such a formal setting, to see the little girl pretending to be a princess, only not pretending anymore. Her dream reality. It was possible. Anything is.
Standing as inconspicuously as possible in the hall, waiting for a chance to speak to her alone for a brief moment.

A smile beams upon his face, “Bri! Look at you!....or should I say ‘M’lady’….as you used to angrily insist, telling me to ‘play the role!’ when I broke character”
A look of mock stern seriousness crossing his features, quickly replaced by a smile.
”You’re beautiful…..how are you…..it’s been so long, you’re just as I remember…..thank you for the invite…….how did you ever find me……???”
