Lady Nuala's Rule's for Ladies

The day was bright and shiny with a ferocious burn to the sun that would surely melt away some of the remaining snow that littered the ground. Sliding from Crusher's back, Mac tied the reins to the post and removed a satchel from his back, slipping it's leather strap over her shoulder she sighed and stepped up onto the planked porch of the commons area. There were things to be done today, council papers to shift through as well as several letters she had neglected to respond to during her travels. "Yer travels are weeeel o'er." She thought briefly, wondering if there was a free table in the Commons Room in which she could gain a few minutes of peace.

Loud cheers followed by several feminine giggles and the singsong lilt of a voice drifted through the air, causing Mac to stop and raise en eyebrow. What was going on here? A party? A gathering? Suddenly a deep feeling of loneliness washed over her. A lot of time had passed since she had sat in the last tavern and shared a drink with friends, simply passing the time with jokes, laughter and tomfoolery. True, the majority of her friends were no longer in Beeston, save Cecily who was content to stay out of the way and in Wharton's Bluff cozied up with Stone.

Her hand moved to the side of the leather satchel and against the bottle sloshing within. Perhaps there would be someone within to share a wee drab. But nay getting drunk! She chuckled softly as she walked into the commons room where the grouping of ladies were seated. Aye that would be lovely.... a nice drunk!

Louisa stifled a giggle and turned away…her eyes glittering in amusement as she caught sight of Lela walking her way …with a wink and a smile that conveyed they would catch up later she turned her attention to the Ladies. Seeing Nuala handing out the wooden boards, watching as each felt the weight and then as confusion crosses each face in turn.

Pulling up a stool she encouraged Tony to sit himself down..to take a load of his feet. “That boy must be feeling the heaviness by now” she thought….then out loudly…”Welcome ladies…today we will have a lesson in how to extract your .brother, friend,. intended, spouse or just the guy next door who finds themselves in abit of a pickle.” Warming up to her pet subject, Louisa flashes a smile full of confidence…knowing full well her “students” were going to enjoy this part of Nuala’s lessons.

“Never fear…with the knowledge we arm you with today…it will become a breeze to extract your Knight in Shining Armour from his tomb of encased metal.” Turning towards Nuala with a smile…”Please can I have your help for this part of the lesson Nuala?...I’m sure you remember this part…” Giving her attention back to the group, she addressed them once more…:This is lesson one…*Extraction of the Gauntlets*.”…..
