[CRP] Declaration of Friendship

Arthur had spent many hours preparing for this meeting between Worcester and Stafford. He was tired of the fighting between Worcester and Stafford, it was time to end the hostilities. Worcester and Stafford has always been on friendly terms until recently. There were some individuals, from both sides, causing trouble and disunity between the neighbors, and Arthur wouldn't stand for it. After all, with the news of NNGO amassing in Scotland, civil war in England would only serve as a distraction.

After long conversations with Duke Dranoel and Duchess Rainchaser, a diplomatic solution had finally been reached. There would be a declaration signed this day between the neighbors that would cement the bond of friendship for years to come.

Arthur wanted the meeting to be comfortable and cozy for his friends of Worcester and Stafford alike. He had arranged for food and beverages to be nearby in case anyone was thirsty. The meeting would go quickly, he thought. It would be a long trip to London, representatives from Stafford and Worcester would most likely be hungry or thirsty when they arrived. This will do good, he said to himself as the staff was running around preparing for the arrival of everyone.

Tables were arranged with different foods based on the different tastes of those who would be arriving.


Another table was arranged with different beverages.


A separate table was arranged, in the center was placed a copy of the friendship treaty that was to be signed by Worcester and Stafford. After the signing, representatives could toast to renewed friendship with special ceremonial wine Arthur had purchased for the occasion.

She hopes she isn't late. Recently, it's been nearly impossible to get anywhere on time, and she's not really sure why. Still, she tries not to appear rushed as she enters the room Arthur has set aside for their meeting with the Duke of Worcester. So far, he's the only one there and a small surge of relief drags a little sigh from her. At least they aren't waiting for her.

Rain makes her way to where Arthur waits and gives her friend a smile. "Hello. Everything looks wonderful, Arthur. Thank you for organizing this."

As he entered the room he noticed that her Grace the Duchess of Stafford had already arrived and was chatting quietly with Lord Loxley. Making his way by the tables and removing his hat, he makes quick work of the formalities and pleasantries as he speaks to the Duchess.

Your Grace tiss good to see that thou hast arrived and pardon me as to my tardiness. As you well know ducal matters can be encumber some in nature.

He bows slightly as he addresses her and then looks to Arthur.

Lord Loxley my friend it has been awhile. I believe the last time was your days as Chief Justice.

It had been some time since Dranoel had seen him last and he quickly extends his hand in friendship.

Wolf arrived and looked out to see if Raider had arrived yet he had been delayed by a urgent matter and hopefully was now on his way, looking around at the venue he was pleasantly surprised at the food and drink that had been laid out, eager to get this started he walked around getting the feel of the place and watched as the ducals talked with Lord Loxley, waiting for a chance to introduce himself he cleared his throat feeling a tad uncomfortable in this situation, hearing a banging of doors he thought that just had to be Raider arriving.

Raider had followed shortly behind wolf to the meeting, he saw wolf enter before him and the doors close. He walked up to the doors and began to bang like a madman, his claws prolly cutting parts of the wood as he did. Eventually he used some common sense to see if the door was even locked, testing this out it he saw the door fly open and inside were four people so far. He walked in, not saying a word and pretending as if he did not just bang the door like a crazed animal..he stood next to wolf, his hand in his cloak pocket...just incase.

Ok lets do this before the goodness and peace rubs off on me....

Arthur greeted everyone who had arrived in order. There was no use in delaying things longer, and he motioned towards a table where the friendship treaty had been setup to be signed. If everyone can please take a seat around the table, I will present each Duke with a quill to sign. County seals have also been delivered for each Duke to impress upon the document.

He stepped back to allow the representatives of Worcester and Duchess Rain to make there way to the table. He was worried about having so many people from Worcester, but he trusted Duke Dranoel and his word. He had promised things would be fine. Sometimes Arthur worried too much, and he hoped today was one of those days. Once the treaty is signed, please help yourself to the food and beverages. They have been arranged for all because of the long trip from our respective counties.

Friendship and Co-operation Treaty

Let it be known that by the creation of this treaty the County of Worcester and the County of Stafford hereby declare a bond of friendship between each other and seek to work together in the best interests of both of their counties.

I. Friendship
With the creation and signing of this treaty, both Counties lay the foundations for a friendship that will hopefully last forever, and express the intention to do their best to continue it.

II. Recognition
The Counties of this treaty agree to recognize the rightfully elected Councils of each other and will refuse to recognize usurper Councils that gain power through revolt and not the electoral process. An exception to this can be made if the Council decides to step down and transfer its power to another through a sanctioned revolt.

III. Diplomatic Relations
For the improvement of diplomatic relations between the Counties involved in the treaty, each county agrees to accept an ambassador into its embassy from the other county as well as to try to send an ambassador back to the county.

IV. Trade
The Trade Ministers of both counties shall communicate with each other and express the needs of both counties, and will update each other as new needs arise. They will try their best to make trades possible between the two counties, but are not required to actually make a trade if it is not in both counties' interests.

V. Cancellation and Amending
If either party wishes to withdraw from this treaty they may do so by an official statement from the Council to the other Council in a time of peace. Unilateral cancellation of the treaty in time of war can be viewed as a hostile act. The treaty can be canceled by mutual consent in times of war.

This treaty may be changed by mutual consent of both parties.

Dranoel looked about and was the first to step forward. Carefully reading over the document he places quill in hand and pens his name. Then carefully affixes the seal of Worcester.

After completing the formality, he looks to the tables and grabs the first tankard of ale to toast to the momentous occasion. Watching effortlessly as he awaits the Duchess of Stafford to sign as well.

Rain waits quietly for the Duke of Worcester to finish with his seal, and adds her own signature to the document, letting the excess ink drip back into the bottle before touching the quill to the page.

Placing the quill neatly in its holder, she turns with a smile, but pauses before celebrating just yet. "Now that's done. There is just one more small matter of an army. When will that be settled?" She looks at Duke Dranoel, then at Wolf, raising her eyebrow questioningly. Ideally, the treaty and the army would have been finished at the same time, but very little in this world ever works out so perfectly.

Wolf watches as the ducals sign, hearing rains comments he goes up to her and tries to force a small smile out and fails,

Yes ideally that would be fine for you but alas this is far from being a perfect world, but i still see your armies up, i still see your threats and to be honest this treaty means jack squat how can we trust you, i for one don't, this worthless piece of paper is nothing but yet more stalling tactics on your part and our armies will not be disbanded until i recieve some truthful assurances that mean something, other people may be fooled by your sweet sickly smile and false promises but this piece of worthless paper is not fit to wipe my boots on, so i bid you farewell, i will now be taking my leave from this pantomine and return back to the battlegrounds in preparation for anything you care to throw at us.

Looking round at the people in the room he shook his head and left the room.
